This football season, we’ve partnered with Taste of the NFL and their favorite tailgating experts to share great game-day recipes for an even greater cause. Join these chefs in raising awareness and funds for hunger relief across the country by taking the Kick Hunger Challenge with your favorite football team and making a donation to their local food bank. And be sure to check PEOPLE.com every Thursday for a new game day recipe from your favorite celebrity chefs. Here, Troy Guard of TAG Burger Bar shares a recipe for his Green Chili Fries.
Green Chili is a staple in Colorado cuisine, and when put atop a golden-brown, cripsy tater, and then topped with sour cream, you literally have the perfect side (or app, or who are we kidding?!?, we’d eat this as the main event)!

Best “Fat” Fried Fries: TAG Burger Bar
Where: 1222 Madison St, Denver; 3759 Lipan St, Denver
Going with the “duck” fry theme, TAG Burger Bar—with locations in Congress Park and the Sunnsyide—offers an almost sinful Duck Fat Fry, generously seasoned with kosher salt, black pepper, a pinch of sugar, paprika and cayenne pepper then fried in a rich duck fat. These fries eat more like a sweet and salty treat than your standard savory burger joint fried spuds.

This summer, in leu of TAG Burger Bar’s usual Burger of the Month, TAG Burger Bar will be teaming up with the James Beard Foundation for the #BlendedBurgerProject. Participating chefs are tasked with creating a delicious burger with a healthy twist – MUSHROOMS! Chef Troy Guard came up with something that packs all the flavor and satisfaction with less fat and less impact on our precious ecosystem. And to make a great thing better – a portion of the proceeds from each burger sold will be donated to Taste of the NFL! And it will be available through July 31, 2016!
